The vision of the CAPABLE project is that fs-laser microfabrication can be the technological platform capable of integrating high performance single-photon sources, reconfigurable photonic circuits, single-photon detectors (being developed in a parallel project) and memories into a single, hybrid integrated quantum photonic system. This will pave the way to the next generation of quantum devices where the benefits of integration will be extended to all parts of the quantum systems and complexity will not be limited by the difficult scalability of some relevant components.
